International Women’s day is celebrated officially around the world on the 8th of March, however events do continue to take place throughout the month. The purpose of the day is to recognise women’s achievements and to pave the way for a more just and inclusive society for girls and women. This includes girls and women in all spheres of life in education, work, politics, economics, law, the household, healthcare, sport, the arts and entertainment, freedom of speech…all matters of life.
