We have had another generous donation from the Rhodri Morgan fund. Former First Minister, Rhodri Morgan sadly passed away last May 2017 and his wife, Julie Morgan (Welsh Government Assembly Member) set up a memorial fund to raise money for charities. We received a donation towards the end of last year which enabled medications to treat/prevent Post-Partum Haemorrhage (PPH) be sent to Somaliland. The Memorial Fund is still raising money which has enabled Julie Morgan to allocate £660 to Life for African Mothers! We are thrilled with the donation and we will be shipping 72,000 tablets to treat/prevent PPH to Sierra Leone by the end of this week!

Last year we treated/prevented Post-Partum Haemorrhage for over 170,000 women and trained over 400 midwives!
We have a firm match-funding offer of £38,000 from a funder, but we need to raise the other half! This will enable us to undertake a scaled up, ambitious programme of midwifery training in Liberia later this year.
