Blankets, baby grows, baby boots, gloves, hats, dresses, toys!
We send all of these items to Sub-Saharan countries such as Liberia, The Congo, Sierra Leone, Uganda and Kenya. It is vital to keep babies warm after birth as the first few days of their life are critical for their survival. This is especially important for babies born with malaria, suffer from malnutrition or diarrhea. Keeping warm diverts energy away from recovery, weight gain and as well as the development of inner organs. So the above items are essential for survival and the reduction of infant mortality.
These are some of the lovely tabards we have received from all over the country. When we send the shipments, we try to send an equal amount of hats, baby grows, blankets and tabards/cardigans. However, we currently have over 1000 and would really appreciate more blankets and baby grows to make up our baby bundles. We will notify you when we would like more tabards knitted, thank you so much for your help.
