Getting involved is easy Life for African Mothers is always looking to grow its support in a number of different ways. If you would like to volunteer your time to support Maternal Health or fundraise for us we would love to hear from you.
How You Can Help
Midwives: With the increasing growth of midwifery workshops we are running in several African countries we are often looking for volunteer registered midwives to provide midwifery training in countries such as Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone. Read about our midwifery training
Doctors: We have been able to facilitate several obstetricians to volunteer some of their time to spend a short period working in some of the poorest health centres providing vital support and life saving maternity services.
Fundraisers: This is where everyone can get involved. Help us raise vital funds to help save the lives of women in Africa. Check out our fundraising ideas
Other skills: If you have other skills you would like to offer we would love to hear from you. We are always in search of people to collect and donate baby clothes for us to give baby care bundles to the new mothers. We love to hear from amazing people who enjoy knitting and can make wonderful booties, blankets and hats. Read about our baby care bundles
At Life for African Mothers we want to raise awareness of Maternal Health and talk to people about the unnecessary waste of life Maternal Mortality brings to women in developing countries. NO WOMAN SHOULD TO DIE IN CHILDBIRTH.
We want to involve all groups, organisations, other charities, hospitals, health centres, schools, universities, Diaspora communities, small businesses, big businesses- We want to reach out to everyone.
Our CEO Angela Gorman regularly travels the length and width of Britain as a guest speaker, she is so passionate about reducing Maternal Mortality she is a true inspiration.
