Volunteer Midwife, Helen who has taken a year off work to train midwives in Liberia has featured in the Nottingham post! Helen has so far spent 6 months in Liberia and is due to spend a further 6 months volunteering in Liberia from June. We’ve had successful workshop training all of the brilliant midwives in Cape Mount County. 6 month training in Liberia

For the past 6 months UK midwife, Helen Chai Lowenstein has been on a secondment from the NHS (National Health Service) to do midwifery training in Liberia. The 6 month programme has been funded by a local Liberian company called, Exxon, and has proved to be a huge success.
